As a leader, Irini brings energy and passion to her work and builds highly effective teams that go above and beyond. In her most recent role with the Department of Industry and Innovation, she worked closely with over 220 SMEs to improve their business management capabilities. As a qualified lawyer, she has national and international business experience across both the private and public sector. In 2012, whilst working in the Pacific as a legal advisor to the government of Samoa, Irini led a legislative reform agenda that improved foreign investment for the country. More recently, she led the development of the Market Insights and Information portal (MII) – an online digital platform that delivers real time data and insights to help businesses make better exporting decisions. Irini is currently leading the Red Tape Register – a collaborative effort to develop an online portal that captures regulatory issues and helps address them.
Fluent in four languages, she has an undeniable passion for learning that enables her to think outside the box and drive engagement between the private and public sector.
